STATEMENT

ISLANDS DANCING IN THE AIR
Work description: Irregular semicircles of Washi paper (variable numbers and dimensions) which internal structures are made of bamboo or wood. They must be hanging with nylon strings inside a cover and at a protected site, because the material is perishable and suffers from water and wind.
The idea: To let your emotions go free into space like a moment of overture and lightness.
The realized sign offers a generous look, even though its fragility is of ephemeral nature. This image is inspired by the butterfly’s cocoon.
