Jaroslav Uhel, ArtD., Associate professor
Graduated from university studies in Banská Bystrica, Faculty of Education and the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Painting in Poland, where he defended his doctoral thesis.
He works as Associate Professor (drawing, painting) to the Department of Art and Education Faculty of Education, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.
Paintings, graphic and book design, illustrations, and journalistic activities are his main topics. He lives in Banská Bystrica and Palúdzka, Slovakia.

Most important awards/ symposiums

In 1998 was awarded by the Minister of Culture of the SR as a personal contribution to Slovak arts.
2000 he was winner of the Masaryk Academy of Arts in Prague.
2004 he was the winner of the Premio Internazionale d’Arte in Italy.
